Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 狭い粒度分布を持ち、大きさのよく揃った微 細な重合体粒子を提供しようとする。 【構成】 エチレン系単量体と、重合開始剤と、少量の 界面活性剤とを水性媒体に加え、これには分散安定剤を 加えないでこれを撹拌し、界面活性剤が臨界ミセル濃度 の0.25〜1倍量含まれて、単量体が液滴として分散 している一次懸濁液を作り、この一次懸濁液を10〜3 000kg/cm 2 の圧力下にナノマイザーに通し、単 量体を粉砕して二次懸濁液を作り、これを加熱し重合さ せて重合体粒子を得る。
PURPOSE: To manufacture fine polymer particles of a uniform size with narrow particle size distribution. CONSTITUTION: An ethylenic monomer, a polymerization initiator and a small amount of surfactant are added to an aqueous medium and they are stirred without a dispersion stabilizer to prepare the primary suspension which contains a surfactant in an amount of 0.25 to 1 time that of the critical micelle concentration and the monomer dispersing in a droplet form. This primary suspension is passed through a nanomizer under a pressure of 10-3,000kg/cm 2 to atomize the monomer droplets to give the secondary suspension.
